Step aside, stars from the ‘Polo Boys’, 黄俊雄 Elvin Ng’s ‘ooh-la-la’ six packs will make theirs feel like some kacang puteh lor! There’s this saying: ‘if you have it, flaunt it’ and Elvin will do just about that next week on national TV…

These photos were taken off from the opening episodes of the Ch 8’s anniversary drama ‘Together 当我们同在一起’. Elvin played this muscular fellow nicknamed ‘Tarzan’. In this scene, Elvin was seen taking a shower when the fire broke out and threatened to burn down the whole building…he ran out without clothes and the first thing on his mind was to seek out for Jeanette’s character…but instead of saving her from the scorching fire, he almost caused great damage to Jeanette’s pretty face…

To fit the role of this lovable beef cake yet simple minded character, Elvin watched his diet very carefully and trained hard for those abs prior to shooting the drama. His current six packs probably ranked best amongst all ’sizeable’ male artistes in MediaCorp.

At the press conference, Elvin politely requested host Cui Fang to change subject (she was showing intense interest on his muscular new abs) as he wanted viewers to focus a bit more on his acting instead of his body.

I have seen the few episodes of ‘Together 当我们同在一起’ and I must say Elvin landed himself a fabulous role. There’s something about this role that he was able to deliver much better than any of his previous attempts. With no intention to sound sarcastic, I feel that he had played this ‘himbo Tarzan’ role very well. I think he will be adding many girls maybe even guys (omg…scary lah) as fans after this drama goes on TV come Monday (debuting Monday, 30 Nov at 9pm on Channel 8).

This boyish face on a ‘Greek-God mythological statue’s looking body ‘ character will suffer the biggest humiliation – he will loose his ‘manhood’ in a violent wrestling fight…haha…heaven is fair lor…

Elvin Ng will be one of the stars (with Jeanette Aw, Dai Yang Tian, Zhang Zhen Huan, Eelyn Kok, Constance Song, Hong Hui Fang & Zheng Ge Ping) at the roadshow on 5 Dec, 2pm at Jurong Point 2 Entrance Square. 1st 100 fans to queue will get limited edition of the calendars and a chance to go on stage to get the stars’ signatures.

For your information, Elvin will be wearing clothes that day (what were you thinking…you naughty ah?).

It’s has been a while since my last time updating this blog of mine here… I remember the last post was about my last day seeing Elvin in Malacca.
Yup, I am having my SPM exam, or equivalent to O-levels, now. A few more weeks to go.
Just feeling a bit sad that the roadshow is confirmed in between my exam month. I was very happy at first as originally this event was set at 17th December, which would be after my SPM, but DYT and Jeanette Aw will not be able to make it that day so it was changed to the 5th.
It was quite a waste to miss this chance as I planned to go all the way to Singapore for this event with my friend. I imagine from time to time, that I can go this kind of function, big big function in Singapore, which is 3 hours distance from Malacca. But now… every thing is pre-destinied. What can I do? Hoping for miracles but no miracles happen. So, what I can do now is… Face the TRUTH.

Just forget it, I tell myself. Because there is still GATHERING!!

But, if the gathering is set to be in the middle of my exam again… Hmm… I don’t know what will happen…

Just keep both of my hands crossed.

A sad day today… They are leaving!

I went there 1 pm just now… Met up with my friends there. We straight away went to the makeup shophouse to wait for artistes!

Elvin reached on 1.10 pm. He rushed in and changed. Then he went out again,with a red singlet. I missed the first scene coz my friend and I were waiting for artistes to come out!

Elvin went in and change again. It’s a damn hot day and Elvin dage is sweating! He kept wiping his sweat. The second scene in the afternoon was Elvin dage brought his son and talked to Jeanette, his wife. He was a father today! I can see that was in the 80s coz he wore quite modern outfits. That reminded me of Liangyi.

It was too hot so we went back to the makeup shophouse to wait for artistes again. Elvin dage then changed back his red singlet again and went shooting. That would be his last scene here.

The last scene ended about 4.40pm. On the way back to his makeup shophouse he came and talked to us. He said he wanted to change first. Before that he posed to me again.

The second take was about the same. Actually, I called him to pose for a rather different pose. He showed me something like this but then he said, “Bu yao lah!”(Don’t lah!), in a cheeky way. He posed to me in such a way that he pointed his finger upwards, showing a cool face. But he refuse so I took the 2nd pic.

After he changed his clothes he came out again. I asked him a silly question and made a silly request… Haha, something very secret lah. Then we wish each other good luck.

Elvin : Thank you. Study hard, okay. Maybe next time you can meet me in Singapore. Just study hard now, OK?

Then, Elvin went back at 5.15 pm. The crews were packing everything. Elvin dage walked pass and I again wish him a success! Jia you, Elvin! Bye bye!

Then, he went away, until he disappeared off my sight.

Yay! Finally, I saw Elvin dage again today!

I went there after my Biology remedial class today, along with my classmate. I am glad to see Elvin dage today. He was standing beside an antique car and saw us walked pass. I waved at him and he waved back.

The scene today was that Elvin dage was driving the car very recklessly, chasing Zhang Zhenhuan, who was badly hurt, to the hospital. Jeanette aw was in the car too. Elvin dage drove the car very fast, turning left and right, nearly knock down DYT. I was really impressed that Elvin dage did everything by himself, without using any stunt man! I am sure Jeanette and Zhang Zhenhuan were also risking their life for that, haha.

Elvin came out and talked with us.

It’s a hot day today and we kept finding places to hide. Then finally we decided to stand in front of the makeup shop house. The artistes was having lunch and we waited for them to come out. Finally, Elvin dage came out and he came to us. Of course there are also other visitors there…

Mystery revealled! The neat drama script of Elvin, as told by Xiang Yun in CELEBRITEABREAK.

Elvin entertained everyone and signing autographs and shot pictures with the fans. Despite of the time, he really tried to “interact” with us, I should say.  I seized the chance to ask him what time he will be filming tomorrow and he replied that he will be there tomorrow from 12pm to 6pm.

I was a bit sad when I heard that. This is because they are leaving Malacca tomorrow! I gonna miss them very much.

BIG scene today. Met up with Ling jie and Audrey just now. Elvin dage saw us. We gave him our presents. Hope he like it.

The filming is damn long today. It is the same scene but it is shot in different angles. Whole afternoon was on the same scene. But it was a BIG scene!

This is the arranged sequence of that scene:
Jeanette Aw is following Constance Song to the bar. She is going to be a bar girl! Everybody pointing fingers and her, talking bad about her. Everyone was there! Elvin dage ran into the scene, trying to stopp her. He gave her a braceletand tried to persuade but failed. She chose to leave.

Then, DYT called Jeanette from the window upstairs. Everyone looked up. DYT threw down a long row of fire crakers and ran downstairs to lit them. Jeanette went up the car with Constance. DYT lit the fire crakers and shouted, “Yao Jianhong, you must be the most distinguished bar girl of the world. I, Lin Xiaobei, will love u always!” Eelyn jealous, keep shaking his hand. Then Elvin shouted, “SHUT UP!” The car went away. END. Damn touching scene but is broken into different shots… 4 rows of firecrakers used.

The scene was mostly for DYT and Jeanette. Elvin dage and Constance Song and other veteran artistes, too, were watching.

I went back at 7 pm. They haven’t finish when I when back.They must have been in Chris and Fann wedding dinner now.

2 scenes caught my eyes today. Firstly, Elvin bulged his eyes, looking at Constance Song who walk pass him, swaying her body. Secondly, Jeanette pulled his back of his singlet and also his ears… Haha.

Arggh!!

Elvin dage looked really tired today. On the way back to his van, I rushed to him. I told him that Audrey and Meiling will be coming this weekend. I asked him whether he will be fiming in this 2 days or not and he said yes and shown me his
timetable. Feel free to drop by at Jalan Kampung Pantai, Malacca, and see his performance with your own eyes.

Elvin dage will be filming at the following periods:

Finally! I saw Elvin dage again today since last two Wednesdays! I reached there about 4 pm just now… Coz afternoon got Add Maths Scoring Technique Session just now…
Again… I was there drenched with sweat, although there was no sun today. Saw Elvin dage there. He was filming there with DYT and Zhang Zhenhuan. Most importantly, he saw me on the opposite of the road, watching. HE waved at me! Haha!

The scene is something like this:
DYT took Zhang Zhenhuan’s apek glasses and wore it on Elvin dage. And then Elvin dage looked around with a blurred sight. And then when he turned… “BANG!” He accidentally knocked down a stall owner’s bike and was scolded. 3 of them apologized in unison. Haha damn funny…

Ahh… My eyes…

The scene ended abt 4.30 pm. Elvin went in the makeup shophouse to pack his things. Saw a blue van came and Ou Xuan, Desmond Tan and Yuan Shuai came down. Elvin went up. When the van passed through the spot where I stood, Elvin dage waved goodbye at me again. HE was unpacking his things and he just turned and say bye to me… Haha he still recognizes me…

和一些艺人相比，会不会觉得自己不够主动，说的东西不够劲爆，影响曝光率？
可能会。我不喜欢太主动，感觉上像是要特意炒新闻，我也不喜欢夸大。我其实懂杂志报纸、中英文媒体的要求都不一样，知道他们要的是什么，也会尽量配合。但我本来就不会要讨好或得罪任何人，对媒体也一样。

我听过有人认为，你面对媒体时太小心维护好男人形象？
我反而觉得自己面对媒体有时很粗心大意，没有想到公司或经理人的立场。其实也不是没有经过思考，只是真的觉得这样讲没有什么大碍，就曾经有一、两次惹来麻烦。
我也不会一直刻意讲些符合正面形象的话，我都是直接讲的。我为什么要把自己刻意设定在好男人这样one-dimensional的框框？对我来说，表现多一些“面”会更好吧。

圈子里的人与事，觉得自己搞懂了吗？
我从头到尾都觉得搞懂了，哈哈哈。慢慢在学，其实是懂的啦，但人家都以为我不懂。

我以前也以为你不懂，但现在发现你其实都懂。有些事，懂却必须若无其事地承受包容，不难受吗？不觉得自己有时太善良了？
不会难受啊，我也从来没有觉得自己善良。
我觉得这样做，是对的，是应该这样做的，就不会更改。我会坚持自己的作风，坚持相信的东西，我要这样去面对这些事，就算大家觉得这样子好像不可以生存。
我相信purity of motives，不要有动机。你愈多私心，最后辛苦的是自己。意念单纯，会比较好过，不要管人家怎么对你。其实人家怎么讲你、怎么对你，他们在心底深处是知道自己好还是不好的。

对自己的信念，从来没有怀疑过？还是可以相信人？
有时会注意一点、会担心，但有事情发生时，我都会给人家benefit of doubts。因为我觉得人，都不是坏的。坏，都是起于误会或八字不合。What goes around，it will come around。如果你以德服人，哈，我乱用词……人家也会这样。但做的时候当然不是为了要人家对你有好印象才做。有回应, 当然好，如果没有，也无所谓。
可能有些艺人碰到事情会把自己封闭起来，我应该做不到，我比较expressive，“缩”起来一下，心又放开了。

Rakuten?” and I didn’t even tell him who I am… Nice guess! It’s correct! Then he asked me hows my prelim and my coming O-level… How caring he is… He knows lots things about me although this is the first time he meets me.  I couldn’t find another artiste like him who really cares about his  fans so much…

And then on my way be I took a glance at the makeup cum resting room. He came out and I called out his name. He came to me and I ask anymore filming to make. He said yes and I asked him to take some photos for audrey jiejie to sream. Then he said, “No, I am eating. Not nice. Wait ahh…” Then I tell him audrey wants his “zhenshi de yimian”. He just obeyed my request without hesitation and he posed to let me take his pic… Haha what a nice guy he is…
